What do people say about the Weybridge Male Voice Choir?

‘It was wonderful. The singing was superb … all in all the entire evening was a delight. All the numbers were lovely.’

‘What an amazing evening it was ... we have invited friends of ours to join us later in the year to hear the choir sing’.

‘An awesome evening … Something for everyone. I did not want it to end!’

These were just a few of the accolades for our Spring Concert, which was sold out to an audience of 400 seven weeks in advance and ended with a standing ovation.

The choir is in good heart, good fellowship and good voice, having performed and competed amongst the country’s biggest and best male voice choirs in the Cornwall International Male Choral Festival in April.  We are now working hard at some of the numbers that we heard other choirs sing there for our AUTUMN CONCERT on Saturday 16 September at the Catholic Church of Christ, Prince of Peace in Weybridge, tickets for which are now on sale.

Our varied programme has something for everyone. We include songs from musical shows, spirituals, Welsh hymns, traditional songs and ballads plus choral arrangements of popular modern numbers.

Our special guests at the Autumn concert are the Chris Winslet Trio, comprising Rhona Millar (sax, vocals), Diane McGuire (bass) and Chris Winslet (guitar, banjo).  Chris and his trio were a big hit at the concert in October last year, delighting the audience with their eclectic jazz programme, so here’s another chance to see and hear them.

So what a treat in store!  Great singing and entertainment from men, young and old, who love  having fun singing together; and great jazz from a trio who just love playing.

Tickets are bound to be in great demand. Make sure you get yours early!
