A Five Choirs Concert for Christine |
|
|
ALL TICKETS FOR THIS CONCERT HAVE NOW BEEN SOLD
Christine Best has been a well known and loved personality in the musical life of Weybridge and the surrounding area for many years. As well as being Musical Director of the Weybridge Male Voice Choir she also directs St James' Church Choir, Treble Clef Ladies' Choir and the Weyward Singers as well as being closely associated with the choir and general musical development of pupils at St James' Primary School.
Christine was taken ill just before Christmas and since then has been unable to continue with her many musical activities in the community. So, the five choirs concerned decided to bring the music to her by arranging a joint choral concert in St James’ Church on Saturday 19 May in her honour. We know she is looking forward very much to attending.
At Christine’s request the proceeds of the concert will go towards the cost of equipment for the ICU and Kingfisher wards at St. Peter’s Hospital where she was so well looked after when she first became ill. |
