Good evening, Gentlemen

I have had very positive feedback from our Christmas Concert, so well performed chaps.

A special thanks to a poorly Ian T for his sterling efforts in the church hall, and to all those driving, setting up, the piano party, clearing afterwards, and for the two Carols. Not to mention a splendid debut by Andrew on Nessun Dorma, the solos from Jim and Chris and the barbershop boys. And of course, thanks to Johnny and Tom for whipping us into shape for the event!

I don’t know who is responsible for bringing the whoopers in the audience but keep them coming.

Shooting Star Children's Hospice:

There was an excellent collection for our sponsored charity of £1091.41.

David Tuckwood:

A note from Graham:

David Tuckwood's funeral will be on Saturday 24th January 2026 at St
Paul's Addlestone; this was David's church. I believe the start time
will be 11.30; I'm sure Brenda will reconfirm. It would be great if you
could include this information in the weekly email so people can put it
on their calendars.

Brenda would dearly love for members of the WMVC to be present and to
sing; Johnny has already said he would be able to lead the WMVC. Brenda
also wants her small (mostly ladies) choir from St Pauls (many of whom
were present last night) to be involved.

The current idea is that WMVC would sing Crossing the Bar and Amazing
Grace (perhaps the latter could be with the church choir, just an
idea?).  I'm also chatting with Brenda about the idea of having the WMVC
sing as David is brought in.... more on that later.

Ottershaw Concert

The running order has been sent out by Johnny and Mike but is repeated below after Matt, and the lyric sheets for the carols are attached if you cannot find last year.

That’s it for this week
