NEW PIECE - SACRED FIRE (from Johnny)
Chaps, you may remember me saying that I was going to introduce a new piece to you which was rather exciting and unique for the choir. Well… the time has come!
Over the past few months I have been chipping away at an arrangement for you all of the piece, Sacred Fire by Sarah Class and commissioned for the Coronation of King Charles III three years ago. Before we get started on it, I would like you to listen to the original…

I have been in touch with Sarah Class the composer and got special permission to arrange it exclusively for you all and she and her publishers are excited to see/hear what we come up with too. I am really quite excited about this piece for us and think it could be a real keeper. I should also mention that it starts with four different soloists taking a phrase each, two from the lower sections of the choir and two from the higher sections of the choir. I will be on the hunt for four soloists soon but I hope to make a start on it with you on Tuesday. Don’t worry you won’t be expected to wear similar outfits to the soloist in the above video although I think people would pay good money to see that!

Joint Concert with Treble Clef - Weybridge Sings! - 7.30pm Friday 9th October - 5 rehearsals to go.
Both choirs are involved in organising this concert so we are hoping to attract a bigger wider audience, to enjoy both types of singing, and maybe join one or the other.

Dear All
I didn't wish to promote a concert we have at my church due to the 'clash' of dates with our scheduled next concert, which has now unfortunately been cancelled.
You are warmly invited to come to the concert on 19th September 7.30pm by the Earthly Voices Choir. I will have tickets at our rehearsal, or they can be bought on-line.
We will be holding a retiring collection for Alzheimer's Research UK so it would be great to have good audience.
